GrandyVision is a modern smart photo frame ecosystem designed to connect families. It consists of a beautiful Player Kiosk Photo Frame in the living room and a handy Companion Mobile App in the hands of family members worldwide.
How the Ecosystem Works
The GrandyVision system is a real-time, synchronized network built on high-performance cloud databases. Any updates or changes you make in your mobile companion app instantly reflect on the smart photo frame in your grandparent's living room.
Companion App Interface Walkthrough
When you sign in to the GrandyVision companion console, the main dashboard provides access to all connected frames, poster invites, and active session controls. Let's review the hierarchical structure of the dashboard controls:
A. Global Navigation & Session Headers
The top bar of the console manages session states and displays authentication privileges:
- Account Widget: Displays the currently authenticated user's credentials (e.g., phone number
+1 (555) 019-2831) and role badge. Roles include:- Root System Administrator: Full read/write access to all frames, database models, and provisioning controls.
- Administrator: Read/write access to coupled frames and poster invitations.
- Poster: Poster-level access allowing posting of images and reminders to assigned frames.
- Log Out Session: Located at the top-right corner. Clicking the log out button instantly revokes local credentials, terminates the active security session, and redirects you back to the Portal Login Screen.
B. Tabbed Console System
For Root System Administrators, a tabbed bar allows toggling between different control rooms:
- Tab 0: Kiosk Orchestration: The default view listing all coupled display frames. Each frame has a dedicated card displaying real-time telemetry (color themes, transitions type, slide delays) and buttons to manage playlist images, configure display parameters, or force unpair a frame.
- Tab 1: Admin Provisioning: The administration control room where root admins can type phone numbers to provision new posters/administrators or revoke admin access instantly.
- Tab 2: Developer E2E Console: An offline testing and sandbox environment containing tools to simulate Firestore triggers, storage responses, and mock user requests.
C. Dashboard Quick Action FAB
The Floating Action Button (FAB) at the bottom-right corner provides quick access to daily actions. Tap it to expand and select:
- Add Image: Launches the multi-stage image upload, cropping, and titling workflow (detailed in the Photos & Media Guide).
- Add What's Happening Next: Launches the reminder scheduling panel (detailed in the Reminders Guide).
